Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time 2019

Deacon Roger Carrier proclaims the Gospel according to St. Luke and gives a homily on this weeks Gospel. In today’s Gospel we here Jesus give the sermon on the mount. In 2019 it seems strange to hear phrases like “Blessed are those who are hungry...” What is Jesus trying to tell us? Where are we putting our hunger, our riches, or our Faith? If we make the Lord our priority and Trust in him we will be like that tree planted beside the water; when troubles come God will provide.
